I was inspired to create a painting after a friend gave me a box of dress patterns from the 1970's and 1980's. I fell in love with the lines and in some, the patterns were lovingly cut by the former seamstress. I remember the sound as a young girl of the scissors onto the thin paper from the women in my family. I love experimenting in my studio giving new life to a project long forgotton.
